Acne, the Diet Connection

For decades, dermatologists have told, and continue to tell, patients that the link between acne and diet is a myth based on the result of two flawed studies and despite numerous other studies linking acne to dairy and high glycemic index food consumption:

This adds to the growing list of conditions that can be cured or greatly relieved by staying clear of dairy products including asthma and many allergies. Some studies also point at a possible link between dairy products consumption and breast cancer.

My simple test for sufferers of these conditions is to suppress all dairy products consumption for 15 days.

High glycemic index food should always be avoided or at least reduced as these are already well connected with many serious conditions from diabetes to heart diseases.

Acne may also be aggravated by insufficient sleep and excessive stress as showed by many other studies.

I have stopped all dairy intake for two weeks now and have notices a dramaitic improvement in both my skin and my sinuses (I get a lot of sinus infections!). I am absolutely certain that there is a connection.
