Applying Low-E coatings on existing glass?

Is it possible to apply low-E coatings on existing glass?

Low-emittance (Low-E) coating are microscopically thin, virtually invisible, metal or metallic oxide layers deposited on a window or skylight glazing surface to reduce radiative heat flow. Coating a glass surface with a low-emittance material blocks a significant amount of this radiant heat transfer, thus lowering the total heat flow through the window. Low-E coatings are transparent to visible light. Different types of Low-E coatings have been designed to allow for high solar gain, moderate solar gain, or low solar gain.

It would be very useful to improve existing glass thermal performance at a lower cost than replacing windows, especially large and thick storefront windows.

Ideally it would come in spray or paint. A film would also be an acceptable solution.

Who are the manufacturers of these low-E coatings?

Thanks for your help.
